One Planet
Human and planet health are tightly intertwined, so we constantly work to reduce our negative impact on the environment. We at Danone believe that only a sound environment can contribute to the manufacture of healthy and nutritious food products. Such vision has become the basis to set our sustainable strategic goals in the field of environmental protection.
In May 2017, we at Danone gathered a team of eco-leaders – company employees who were striving for changes and were aware it was high time for these. Just then the Green Office principles were defined which reflect a conscious ecological approach to daily routines. These principles were introduced both in manufacturing and administration.

The main focus areas of Danone eco-leadership in Ukraine:
separate waste collection;
reduced consumption of paper, energy, and water;
eco-conscious behavior;
favorable microclimate.
Back in 2018, with the support of our partners, we managed to create conditions for the implementation of a green office within the business center where our office is located. Later it became the first business center in Kyiv to implement system changes to ensure conditions for separate waste collection and removal.
Currently, Danone annually holds a Volunteer Month, when the efforts of all the employees are united for the sake of the well-being of the society, we all live in. It has already become a tradition to hold eco-picnics when we clean the most polluted areas of city parks, public gardens, or beaches.
The GoCamp project also helps us to promote eco-culture outside our offices, when our employees conduct educational sessions aimed at popularizing eco-culture among children.
There are different ways to raise ecological awareness, but the most effective one is to become an agent of change and change the planet for the better.
